Disclosure first. Evidence in context. Choices that belong to you.
Our catalog is still a draft
Our original sample entries remain draft data. Listings marked “Published disclosure screened” have source-based ingredient or material reviews, with dates, source links, and limitations on their detail pages. That is not independent testing or a completed certification audit. Real product photographs and published ingredient studies do not verify catalog claims. The standards below describe our review criteria.
Three transparency tiers
These describe disclosure and supporting documentation—not a health score or a guarantee of safety.
Tier 1
Full Transparency + Tested
Full disclosure with an additional documented verification or testing pathway.
Every ingredient disclosed, with no hidden blends.
Ingredient list reviewed against our screening list.
Current EWG Verified status or relevant independent third-party testing documented for the exact product.
Tier 2
Full Transparency + Track Record
Full disclosure with a documented product track record.
Every ingredient disclosed, with no hidden blends.
Ingredient list reviewed against our screening list.
At least 3 years on the market with a documented track record; time on the market alone is not proof of safety.
Tier 3
Full Transparency
Full disclosure without the additional evidence required for the other tiers.
Every ingredient disclosed, with no hidden blends.
Ingredient list reviewed against our screening list.
Additional testing or track-record documentation has not been established.
What verification labels mean
EWG Verified
An external verification program. A completed review should confirm the exact product and current status in EWG's official directory; it is not a Crunchify certification.
Third-Party Tested
Independent testing with a report that identifies the product, what was tested, and the results. It does not mean every ingredient or possible use has been tested.
No verification label
No external verification label is recorded in our catalog. That is an evidence gap, not a conclusion about the product.
Featured & Editor's Choice
Featured places Editor's Choice picks first, then orders by transparency tier, then by the presence of a verification label. Ties keep their catalog order. Editor's Choice is an editorial pick, not an additional certification or evidence of a completed audit.
What the evidence can—and cannot—say
Our screening list guides which ingredients we review. A paper about an ingredient does not establish the effects of a finished product. Concentration, exposure, formulation, and intended use matter. Always follow the product label; formulas and certifications can change.
